The MQ Vienna Fashion Week, which took place between the 13th and 18th September, may normally have been typically overlooked by some eyes. But this year was different; The controversial looks from Maldoror, the bold and captivating prints from NEON and cascading dresses from Anelia Peschev began to turn heads from the main focus of New York, London and Milan. However, I did notice a lack in high heels – and we all know I’m a sucker for the shoes
Over the week, extravagance, originality and splendour flooded down the runways;
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada
Michel Mayer; One of his finest creations.
Lena Hoschek
Anelia Peschev really captured the essence of femininity with her fluid silk dresses. They were the synonyms of elegance.
NEON
Natalia Jaroszewska‘s collection consisted of electric prints and embroidered dresses, radiating warmth and femininity.
Overall, Vienna’s fashion week was quite the success. However, I felt that the designers played it safe. Tiberius seemed the only collection that stayed in my mind. It was bold, and had a real sense of identity. I believe that we’ll hear a lot more from this brand in the near future.
