Vogue’s ‘Best Dressed Of The Week’ – August 2011

After glancing through the photo galleries of the best dressed celebrities, tastefully selected by Vogue, Freida Pinto distinctly stood out sporting the Jewel trend, of Autumn 2011, with class, in a light burgundy Stella McCartney dress on her way out of The Late Show with David Letterman. The material hung beautifully above her knees while draping elegantly over slim curves, accompanied by a pair of low, pale heels.

Fashion’s palette has moved on from the strong block colours and bright, bold prints of Summer and into the rich Jewel tones of Autumn and Winter; from ample amethyst and jade, to opulent ruby and amber.

The newest ready-to-wear collections from Ralph Lauren and Roksanda Ilininc show this trend seamlessly.

Olga Sherer walked down the catwalk recently in a waterfall of rich emerald velvet, for Ralph Lauren. This wrap dress, with a mandarin collar and capped sleeves, surpassed as one of the superlative looks from the collection.

 Roksanda Ilincic presented two gorgeous watery silk dresses, for her Autumn/Winter 2011 ready-to-wear collection, in shocking ruby and dazzling amethyst tones. The cascading material was draped and pinned over the body in an elegant mode, fashioning a desirable façade of femininity.
