Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ 20th August fairy-tale wedding has been and gone, and still no wedding dress pictures! It has been revealed that People magazine have bought the couple’s wedding photos for $1.5 million. These photos will be released through People magazine on Friday, and I will bring them straight to you.
It was known for a while that designer Vera Wang was to create Kim’s custom couture wedding gown. What was unknown, however, was that Wang would be creating three intricate gowns.
Mrs Humphries chose a princess style ball gown with a voluminous tulle skirt, Basque waist and hand-made Chantilly lace appliqué covering the bodice and train. A Lorraine Schwartz diamond encrusted headpiece, part of a $10 million worth of jewellery from the designer, glittered on her forehead. She wore a beautiful lengthy veil, also with Chantilly lace appliqué at the hem, with a lightly blusher layer; Picture-perfect.
Kim changed into her second gown for the first dance, a complete fashion 180˚ spin, ending up being ‘my favourite’ of the three. This gown was a much sexier, Georgette mermaid dress decorate with, once again, Chantilly lace appliqué on the tight bodice. The figure-hugging skirt displayed hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery.
When it was time to party, Kim Kardashian made her third and final change of the evening, changing into a bias-cut crepe back satin gown which blossomed into a circled skirt.
The couple are now over in Italy, soaking up the sun and scenery, for a romantic honeymoon.
