Anastasia Lomonova’s peeping yellows, Barila’s revival of the forties and playful creations from Annie 50 filled the runway at Montreal, Canada, Fashion Week from the 6th to 9th of September.

Designers fought for the limelight to present the beginnings of their Spring/Summer 2012 collections.

An oriental influence shone from Anomal Couture , through gerontogeous angles and detailed embroidery.

This gold and black number was definitely one of my favourite. The sequins capture the light like a dream, and the combination of materials drape over the curves of the body flawlessly. Anomal Couture really pulled it out the bag.

Montreal introduced me to the chic and elegant DUY, Duy Nguyen’s self-named label, which gaoled my heart as soon as the first creation hit the runway.
